The Deaf & Hearing
Connection for Tampa Bay, Inc. offers specialized telephones and
ring signaling devices at no cost to Florida residents. Local
residents of Florida, who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf/blind or
speech-impaired, can receive this equipment at “no cost.”
Telecommunications access for the hearing-and speech impaired is
funded by a surcharge on every consumer’s telephone bill.
Equipment is available by appointment, Monday through Friday, from
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through the Deaf & Hearing Connection’s
main office in Seminole or at satellite locations throughout
Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
Free hearing screenings, other assistive equipment and affordable
hearing aids are also available on site at the Deaf & Hearing
Connection, a non-profit organization specializing in
communication access for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or
late deafened.
