Doctor No
By Ian Fleming
A secret agent and his secretary are missing in Jamaica. No
bodies. No clues. No evidence. Everyone suspects they ran away
together. However, James Bond suspects foul play, and takes on the
enigmatic case of Agent Strangaways. Once he arrives, Bond is
followed and targeted—someone tries to poison his food and even
kill him with a lethal centipede. All fingers point to Doctor No,
the elusive Chinese businessman who lives on a neighboring private
island called Crab Key. Could he be responsible for Agent
Strangaways’s mysterious disappearance? Only a voyage to Crab Key
can yield answers, and it may be one-way trip....
Published in 1958, Doctor No is the sixth book in the original
James Bond book series. In 1962, it became the first James Bond
movie starring Sean Connery. Mature teens with a love for Bond
movies and action will enjoy this book.

Double or Die
By Charlie Higson
A normal weekend turns into an adventure for young James Bond and
his Eton classmates as they search for their kidnapped professor,
Alex Fairburn. With only a cryptic letter to guide them,
sixteen-year old James and his pals set out to London to find and
rescue their missing teacher.
A man who visits Eton and claims to be Professor Peterson, a
friend of Fairburn’s, turns out to be an impostor. James learns
that the real Peterson is dead. Could their beloved teacher
Fairburn be next? Now, pursued by two assassins and Fairburn’s
“friend,” Bond must sift through lies and clues to find Fairburn
before it’s too late.
Thrilling and full of suspense, Double or Die is the third novel
in the action-packed “Young Bond” series. The book’s first US
paperback edition came out this year and more sequels are
scheduled for release. Author Charlie Higson produces exciting
reads that work well as stand-alone novels. No prior Bond
knowledge required! Fans of Alex Rider and other spy stories won’t
