If I were president of the United
States, the very first thing that I would do is to make it
possible for ALL children and people who have health conditions
that could cause them to die without medical treatment and
medications without making them have to pay for these things.
This is a big deal to me and to my family because my older
sister, who I never got the chance to meet because she died
before I was born, died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or (S.I.D.S.)
and my parent's made the choice to donate her liver to another
baby who needed a liver transplant to save her life. That by
girl is 19 years old, alive and doing well today! But ALOT of
children and people die every single day because they do not
have enough or sometimes no money at all to be able to go to the
doctor or have the medicine that just may save their life. And I
feel that it is wrong that anyone who is sick and needs a doctor
and/or medicine to save his and/or her life should be able get
all of those things for free! People are so much more important
than taxes and social security issues and if people are not
given the chance to live, how can they pay taxes or get social
security anyway?
