Easy Steps for
Neat Nails
By: Gail Erickson
Well manicured nails are important for
boys as well as girls. By the age of 11, kids should be able to
maintain their own nails. Not only does it look good but it is
much more hygenic. Here are three easy steps to neat nails.
What You Need:
a gentle hand soap
a soft-bristle nail brush
nail clippers (smaller is better for younger kids)
an emory board
Use a gentle soap with warm water nightly to wash hands before
bed. Use a soft-bristled nail brush to scrub nails and remove dirt
from under the nails.
Use clippers once a week to trim nails. Hangnails, which are a
painful split in the skin next to the nail, should be clipped
closely...then left ALONE!
Lastly, file nails with an emory board to smooth out rough edges.
